Hello, dear ones!
I can't believe it's almost July, AKA month of Falcon Ridge. More on that...
We are finishing up our season of touring with some amazing gigs, and at the end of the month, I, Nerissa, am putting my feet up for awhile as I await the arrival of my bambino.
This Saturday, July 5, the WHOLE BAND is playing at the Levitt Pavillion. How good is this? It's a free show at 8pm. It's outside on the banks of the gorgeous Westport River in Westport, CT. We've been doing this gig for years and years, and it's always one of our favorites. We just rehearsed with the CrackerJack Band and are in top form. So come on down!
Friday July 11 We are doing our yearly Boston Children's Museum show. Outdoors or indoors, it's a splendid time for all, though it is aimed at those ages 7 and under. This is a daytime show.
Saturday July 12, Katryna and I are at my church in West Cummington for a 7:30 Woody Guthrie-esque birthday celebration. We played a show here same time last year, and it remains one of my all time favorite gigs. I have no words for the sweet awesomeness of my church. You really have to see it to get it. Plus, rumor has it we will have a few copies of our brand new CD Rock All Day Rock All Night available by then (maybe.) Here's some extra info, since they are not usually in the business of promoting shows: For questions, call 413-634-2100. To get there from points east, find Northampton and Rt 9 Take Rt. 9 west about 20 miles to Cummington. See the Cummington Creamery on your left--it has a giant cow on its roof––you can't miss it. 4 miles later, take a right on W. Main St. Take your next right on Church Rd. You will see the church--it's the only thing there. Park. Enter. Enjoy. For points west, take Rt 9 to Windsor, then keep your eyes out for W. Main St. on the left. Turn in, follow the road, turn left on Bush Rd and an immediate right on Church Rd. See above.
Friday-Sunday July 25-27 FALCON RIDGE!!!! It's the 20th anniversary, and we are performing on the main stage with our CrackerJack Band on Saturday at 7:30 (after Chris Smither, before Darling Dar Williams.) It will be huge. I will also be huge.
I am hobbling into the last weeks of my pregnancy. Literally. I broke my little toe last week. Seems to be the universe's way of telling me to slow down. No one has peeled me a grape yet, but I feel pretty spoiled nonetheless.
We are joyfully selling copies of How to Be an Adult and having fun with accompanying blog: www.howtbeanadult.com; the blog where we ask YOU for information.
Can't wait to see all of you!! Stay cool!
Love, Nerissa and Katryna
