Greetings
Hello dear friends!
Ah! To watch crocuses come and go! To see the grass turn from gray brown
to Irish green! To see the swelling red buds on the trees, and to breathe
the fresh, cool air! Every year, sometime after the cruel self-denying
season of Lent has past, I get this major upswelling of joy, and somehow
know that everything is fundamentally well in the world, even with a lot of
evidence to the contrary. Something about the post equinox light.
Something about the kids who eschew coats and hats after the temperature has
gone above 40 degrees. Spring is here, and it's intractable.
Speaking of intractable, we finally have some firm news from Scholastic.
Nerissa's young adult book, Plastic Angel (formerly This Town Is Wrong) has
officially got a publishing date: June 2005, which means it'll be in stores
a year from May. It'll be out on Orchard imprint of scholastic on hardcover.
